One Way

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)

Jesus told us that He is the one and only way to heaven. Some folks say that is too narrow, that surely that is a misprint in the Bible or maybe John, when he was writing these words, could not remember what Jesus said. No, it is not a misprint and he was aided by the Holy Spirit to remember what Jesus said and write it as He said it.

Way back in elementary school they taught us that two plus two equals four, not three and seven eighths or four and one fourth. Arithmetic has always been narrow.

Jesus is the Author and Finisher or our faith. When He says there is only one way to heaven, He does not mean there is one way for me, another way for you, another for someone else and other ways for others. Jesus said, “I am the way…no one comes to the Father but by me.”  He always said what He meant and meant what He said.
