“In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
It was after Job had lost his children, his wealth and his health that he said, “Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.” (Job 14:1) Perhaps you have experienced some of what Job experienced.
The Christian is not guaranteed a life free from trials, tribulations and struggles on this earth. It is quite the opposite, according to the words of our Savior. His life certainly was not free of hardships.
The Lord Jesus Christ has given us a word of strength and assurance. For those who trust Him as their Savior, He offers victory. He has overcome the world. You can trust Him with your life and eternity.
