Ready

“For yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not tarry.”
(Hebrews 10:37)

Life is swiftly passing and it seems that those many years ago in childhood were just yesterday. When the old country preachers spoke of the second coming of Christ they spoke as though He might return before we could get home from church. That’s the way the subject of the second coming of Christ is to be declared.

Our text says that in a little while He will come again. He is emphatic in His language. He that “SHALL” come will come. Jesus is coming again. But Jesus said that the only one who knows “when” He is coming is God the Father. Our part is to be ready and get as many people ready as we can by declaring the saving gospel of Jesus Christ to them. Patiently work and wait.
