Ask for the Old Ways

“Thus saith the LORD, ‘Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.’ But they said, ‘We will not walk therein.’” (Jeremiah 6:16)

If Judah had repented of their sins, turned back to God and had walked in His ways they would not have endured seventy years of judgment in Babylonian captivity.

It has been said that when evangelist, Billy Graham was doing his tent crusade in Los Angeles, California in 1949 that some of the religious leaders complained that “Graham will set Christianity back fifty years.”

When the evangelist was told of that remark and asked to respond, he said, “I don’t want to set it back fifty years. I want to set it back two-thousand years.”
