No Tears in Heaven

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)

Very seldom is there a funeral in which there are no tears or sorrow. When we visit a nursing home it is common to hear someone calling out for help or just groaning. One expects to find pain in many of the patients in a hospital. Tombstones and cemeteries are constant reminders of death.

All of these things are here on earth. But they are not seen and heard in heaven. They are passed away, thanks to God’s love and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. The empty tomb where Jesus lay is a foretaste of the joys of heaven.

Jesus said to His disciples, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)

Trust Him for salvation from hell and for a beautiful eternity in heaven with Him.
