Pray for our Leaders

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings , and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” (I Timothy 2:1-4)

Today is “Inauguration Day” in the United States of America. The nation went to the polls in November, 2016 and through the ballot chose a man to the highest office in the land.

According to the Bible Christian people have a duty and responsibility to support all people in authority with our prayers, including people one may or may not like.

Let us join our hearts and lives in prayer, not only for our President but also the Vice President, the cabinet members, senators, representatives, governors of the states, policemen, our military and all others who have been given assignments to lead, protect and govern this great country.
