Praising God All Day Long

“My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul which thou hast redeemed. My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame that seek my hurt.” (Psalm 71:23-24)

The old psalmist had come to the end of this psalm of praise. We know something of this old man’s heart and his love for the LORD. God had delivered him from his enemies and had redeemed his soul.

Our worship or lack of it will reveal our attitude toward God. The word, “worship,” carries with it the idea of worth. In worship we express our attitude of God’s worth to us. To folks who never worship God, He is of little worth or value. Those who hold God in high esteem and worth readily worship and express their adoration for God as did the psalmist.

Don’t be ashamed to lift your voice in praise to God, expressing your love and thanks to Him for the blessings He has bestowed upon you.
