Get Rid of the Burden of Sin

“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” (Psalm 32:1)

David knew the awful burden of sin. He had committed adultery with another man’s wife and when he discovered that she was pregnant with his child, had her husband murdered and then married the murdered man’s wife.

When Nathan the prophet of God confronted the king with his sinful actions, David poured out his heart in humble confession. The awful burden of his sin and guilt was gone. He was happy.

The Bible says that “If we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (I John 1:9)

Are you carrying around a burden of sin and guilt? Are you tired of that? Jesus invites you to confess it to Him for His disposal of it. Dear friend, that’s why He went to the cross, shed His blood and died. And, that’s why He lives today.
