The sinless Son of God is the only perfect sacrifice for the sins of mankind that will satisfy God. Parents often sacrifice for their children keeping them clothed, fed, healthy and educated. But no parent, no matter how noble or well intentioned, is suitable to serve as a sacrifice for the sins of their children. That would be one sinner dying for another sinner.
If you are saved He has removed your sins from you, as far as the east is from the west. (Psalm 103:12) They are no longer on your account because He bore our sins in His own body on the cross.
