If You Talk the Talk Be Sure to Walk the Walk

“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. (I John 3:9)

John is inspired by the Holy Spirit to look at the many sides of this issue concerning man’s actions matching his faith. This study John is leading us through is much like a gemologist might look at a multi-faceted diamond from every angle. The more he studies it the more it increases in value.

This present facet reminds us of the fact of the new birth. A Christian has been born again. He cannot continue in sin. It is a contradiction to claim to be born of God and at the same time practice sin against God.

If we talk the talk we must walk the walk.
