"Forever, Oh Lord, thy
Word is settled in heaven." (Psalm 119:89)
There is a statement that goes
like this: "God said it; I believe it; that settles it." That
statement is only partially true. It is
accurate to state: "God said it and that settles it."
There is no benefit given to anyone who doubts the Bible, ignores it or casts
ridicule toward it or toward those who believe it and live by it. However, there are eternal benefits for those who embrace the Word of God and live by it.
Part of the whole armor of God,
it is the Christian's only offensive weapon against Satan. (Ephesians
6:17) It is quick (alive) and powerful
and sharper than a two edged sword." (Hebrews 4:12) Jesus used it to fight the devil and will use
it to "smite the nations," following His return. I encourage you to read, study, memorize and
meditate upon the Word of God.
