As Far as the East is from the West

“As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)

We cannot hide our transgressions from God, but He can hide them from us. If you have been saved and your transgressions and sins have been forgiven, He has hidden them from you. He has removed them from you as far as the east is from the west.

Notice that the verse does not say, “as far as the north is from the south.” The distance from the North Pole to the South Pole has been measured and is recorded. Satan would be dragging us from the north to the south and south to north to show us our sins if the verse said our transgressions were removed from us as far as the north is from the south.

But our verse uses east and west as the reference points. There is no east pole nor is there a west pole. East and west are separated in infinity. The distance from east to west is immeasurable.

Confess your sins and transgressions to Jesus and let Him forgive you and separate these transgressions from you, never to be found and never to be used against you.
